REASON NEWS - July 2008
|

HI and welcome to the latest edition of REASON NEWS.
We would like to say a big THANK YOU to all new owners that we have picked up recently....the way the industry is changing we "need" some new blood and it is really great to see the smiles on your faces after you leave with your new dog !
I hope you can all win an Easter Egg or Paws of Thunder with them!
Unfortunately, we are going to have to cut back a little in the next 12 months as we are in the process of finding another property for a short time. I am heading to Ireland for a trip while my wife is heading down to South Australia to look after her mother. I will them be joining her down there ....it will be interesting....SA...I played cricket at Glenelg once and never thought that I would ever get back ...so I guess the moral is , NEVER say NEVER!
Everything will stay the same in NSW with all 3 properties (Sydney, Piper's Flat and Coff's Harbour) all operating as usual, however because I wont be around , there will be far less broodies getting into pup.
In fact, I may lease a few of them out to the RIGHT people if they are prepared to look after them. Get in touch if you are interested. The break in notifications will stay as is so it is just a matter of checking out the website and calling to find out the times, prices and date of trials.
We have been hit by the dreaded kennels cough pretty bad and it has put our breakers a fair way behind.....the next to be educated are the KIOWA SWEET TREY x RAVADA REASON pups.
![]() On the Breeding front, we have just whelped litters out of Rylee Reason, Madam Collision, Right Way Gloria and Secret Guest is in season now. Unfortunately, we had a good offer for Right Way Gloria and she has departed to Donna Sadler's kennels in Victoria. Knowing that she will be looked after is very reassuring and I wish her the best of luck with her.
After what she threw in her first litter, I cannot see he failing down there. Check out the website for any further details that you may require. That's it for this month.....keep warm and many winners.

REASON NEWS - May 2008

Hi and welcome to the latest Reason News.
I apologise for not getting around to doing the monthly updates as I have been away and I have been slack ! Just ask Dinky Di ! Firstly, I would like to notify my Asian clients that our next batch will be ready to trial this month...just get in touch with me and arrange a day.
There are some beauties in this group so let me know...Australian clients are quite welcome to attend these trial as well...just give me a call and I will give you further details.Just remember that these are PRIVATE TRIALS and you cannot just roll up....as long as you call and let me know , I will give the boys at the track your name and you will be able to watch them go.
![]() The breakers just picked up on the weekend went brilliantly...we brought home 11 out of the 15 and they will go for their spell unless sold. Call for further information. On the pup front, we have just whelped litters out of Ravada Reason, Rivalee Reason, Roxus Reason, Right Way Gloria, Secret Guest, Busy Pilgrim, Lochinvar Charm and Madam Collision.
Again, overseas sales need to be completed PRIOR to flying out.....we had 4 USA sales cancelled last month because of non completion. We are not in a position to hang onto dogs forever so if the sales fail to be fully paid for by the time they are 12 months , then we reserve the option to sell them and return any money to you. I realise that it rarely happens and if you call me we can arrange something ....either way, there are no problems. If you don't wish to proceed I will return your purchase price (or deposit) and resell the dog.
Rylee Reason was served 5 weeks ago and appears in pup...anyone who has ordered from this litter will need to make contact with me as thry will be sold first in basis and she doesn't appear to be having a massive litter. The 3 from her first litter have broken in great and 1 was sold overseas last week and he will enter quarantine this week. Best of luck to Mr. Liu with him...he sure can gallop !
The Asian market is pretty big at the moment so I apologise to our aussie clients that I cannot keep up the supply for everyone. It hasn't helped all of our broodies establish a name here in Australia but the $$$ are too good to ignore from Asia and if it means that these girls pups have to go o/s then sobeit.
We survive on $$$$ not egos here ! Best of luck with your dogs and if we can help with any purchases please feel free to get in touch.
PS.....Because of the amount of pups we have through the kennels at the moment, we are also trying something new that may help out some clirents here in Australia. Even if you haven't got the cash we may be able to trade items like motor cars, boats, caravans.
We have established another business here in Sydney and are able to sell a lot of the items mentioned through this new venture...so if you have something parked in the driveway that you don't use, give me a call...you might get that dog you always wanted on a swap deal !

REASON NEWS - December 2007
|
||
Hi and welcome to the latest REASON NEWS.
As usual,we have been “flat out” in the past month or so with new whelpings and the preparation of out next litters for breaking in.
On that note, we will be trialling the History Lesson x Pay the Danes and the Solve the Puzzle x Night Princess pups in the next week or so for clients. They will be available for sale on the day so anyone interested can just give me a call and I will pass on the trialling details etc. Refer to the pups for sale section on the website for any further information on these litters.
The latest batch of race dogs are doing us proud with dogs of the calibre of RUTLAND REASON, ROXUS REASON, RUSHMORE REASON and RUMFORD REASON all winning brilliantly on city tracks in the past month.
RUMFORD REASON won his heat of the SA PUPPY CHAMIONSHIP last week and looks to have that race barring bad luck at his mercy. Another example of buying a break in if you are prepared to take the gamble…he was for sale for $3000 as a breaker…noone wanted him…..we won first up with him and he then became a MUCH MORE EXPENSIVE dog.
I know it is a risk but if you come and see them go as “babies” you can really end up with a much cheaper greyhound…as long as you are prepared to take the risk!
On the breeding front, we have pups on the ground that are as good a batch as we have ever produced. Bitches like RHAPSODY REASON (to Kiowa Sweet Trey), RAVADA REASON (to Spiral Nikita & Kiowa Sweet Trey), RAKAIA REASON (to Bond), PAY THE DANES (to Gable Larfourche), RYLEE REASON (to Kiowa Sweet Trey) etc all have magnificent looking pups on the ground and we will be looking forward to the next 12 mths with these youngsters.
Some have been sold to both the USA and Ireland but I will keep everyone informed as to their progress. Another of our bitches, FINKS VIXEN (Just the Best x Eriskay) has just come into season and will be served by champion Irish sire SPIRAL NIKITA.
I suggest anyone looking for a Spiral youngster should get in early for one of these. She was a sub 30 bitch at both Wentworth Park and Dapto and is out of the Ladies Bracelet winner Eriskay who is also the dam of Mandagery Man (sub 30 WPk and WA Derby winner), Lead on, Innisleigh (all city) as well as WA OAKS runner up Connie’s Token .
Another bitch produced through our kennels is ROXY REASON who is the dam of MISS HOT GOSSIP etc.
We pride ourselves on the quality that we produce and we are confident that the next 12 mths or so will be our best ever.
Best of luck to everyone in the industry and many winners.

REASON NEWS - November/December 2007
|
||
Welcome to the December edition of Reason Kennels News.
![]() Firstly on the breaking in front, we are pleased to advise that the Kiowa Sweet Trey x Rhapsody Reason litter has just gone to the breakers this am....stunning looking pups and will be available for sale in a few weeks time.
As usual, they will be available on the completion date of breaking in so if needing any further information, call me and register your interest.
Please keep in mind that the ONLY people to watch these trials are prospective clients. Lately we have been getting the "tyre kicker " brigade that just come along and watch every batch so they can let their mates know and how much so and so paid......well that is about to stop.
It is so unfair to the clients who DO purchase these dogs off smart trials only to find out from someone else what they ran ! So as from this month...it stops!
We welcome anyone to come and view ALL of our break ins trial but GENUINE BUYERS ONLY.
I would also like to congratulate Paul McPhee who purchased a pup from the last batch as a breaker (History Lesson x Pay the Danes) and just sold to her Victoria's leading kennel for a massive sum. Best of luck Paul....very hard to knock back that sort of money!
Whelping News and we have recently whelped litters by
Again, I urge any client who is after any of these pups to get there orders in early as we have some sold to overseas countries and there will not be that many available. They are only just born so there is no urgency in picking them up as yet however if clients want them, just let us know asap and we can put your choice aside and can be picked up at 12 weeks.
RAVADA REASON has just come into season along with RIGHT WAY GLORIA and will be served by PREMIER FANTASY and SPIRAL NIKITA respectively so again, if anyone is interested, just call me and place an order.
Finally, I wish EVERYONE a Merry Christmas from our family to yours and hope that the New Year brings much success.
Take care, Rob Tyler, Reason Kennels

REASON NEWS - September/October 2007
|
||
Welcome to the September/October edition of Reason News.
![]() Firstly, may I express my sympathies to the many clients and friends involved with the thoroughbred and harness industries here in NSW during this EI crisis...it is terrible and I know that many are suffering during these past few weeks.
Lets hope that the whole affair is sorted out sooner than later and the entire racing industries get together for the betterment of all concerned.
Any client involved in the horse sports that have been affected need not worry in regards to any costs incurred from dogs/pups which are still on our propertry. We will cover the expenses for any such dog that has been purchased from us 100% and includes rearing and any vet costs etc. The racing industry has been kind to us over the years, so just lets say this is our way of helping out until you get on your feet again. Contact me for details.
Since our last Reason News, we have been flat out with orders from clients and hopefully we can fill a few more this month.
The Spiral Nikita x Ravada Reason's will be going to the breakers in the first week of October and I am sure that there will be something special in this bunch....they have really turned into lovely types.
Anyone interested should contact me asap with these as there are only 6 in the litter .
On the breeding front we have had bitches like Roxus Reason, Fink's Vixon, Busy Pilgrim, Lochinvar Charm and Unrivaled served and again, if any client is interested, get in quick as we have some orders for pups that have been carried over from the last batch.
To our new clients who bought the breakers from us last month, a big thank you and the calls I have had on them are exciting.....I am sure that a really hot one is amongst them!
That's all for this month and take care.

|

![]() As usual ,we have been flat out with preperation of our youngsters getting ready for the breakers. We have 2 litters away at the moment and they will be ready for trialling for clients in the next week or so. If you are interested in watching the trials, please feel free to give me a call and I can pass on further information about them.
On the breeding front, we have as nice a batch of pups we have had through the kennels for a long time. If you need any information on any of our stock, again, just give me a call.
These litters include, SPIRAL NIKITA x RAVADA REASON, KIOWA SWEET TREY x RHAPSODY REASON, BOND x RAKAIA REASON, KIOWA SWEET TREY x RYLEE REASON, PRIMO UNO x ATRAIN MERCEDES, WINSOME LESSON x RIGHT WAY GLORIA and the latest lot of "babies" being by KIOWA SWEET TREY x RAVADA REASON.
Our very fast bitch FINK's VIXEN is on season at the moment and is being implanted by the champion Irish sire SPIRAL NIKTA.She ran 29.92 at Wentworth Park as well as breaking 30 at Dapto winning her maiden and being out of champion producer ERISKAY (also the dam of WA Derby winner MANDAGERY MAN, LEAD ON INNISLEIGH and WA Oaks runner up CONNIE'S TOKEN etc etc. If any of our clients are interested in any of these pups, get in quick as we already have orders for 4 pups to go to Ireland.
Racewise, the last batch of breakers are hitting their straps with pups such as RUTLAND REASON, ROXUS REASON, RUSHMORE REASON, all winning city races in the past month as well as the high flying RUMFORD REASON who has won 9 from 12 and looks to have the SA Puppy Championship at his mercy. Best of luck to Paul and Peter in the coming weeks finals.
That's it for now....many winners to everyone and take care.

REASON NEWS - April 2007
|
||
Welcome to the April edition of REASON NEWS.
We have been absolutely thrilled in the past couple of months with the response we have had to our dogs and already the performances are starting to show with the youngsters. In the last batch alone we have had 3 Maiden Heat and Final Winners at Richmond including RUTLAND REASON (who won at Wentworth Pk Sat night), JUST CAMPO and RIMSKY REASON. Another was the Mark Arncliffe trained RAMSEY REASON who won at his first start in a flying 16.93 at Lithgow. Paul Barry from South Autralia backed up for his 2nd purchase this year after SA St.Leger runner up LUCKY TRUMP and bought from us RUMFORD REASON. RUMFORD went to SA after winning a Maiden Heat at Richmond in top fashion and has had 3 starts for 2 wins and a certainty beaten 2nd for Paul and owner Peter since arriving.
It just goes to show what a bit of time does to dogs....we had him For Sale very cheap after he broke in but no one seemed to want him. This is why I encourage clients to buy them as breakins. Sure some of them don't go on but there is always the chance that a young, immature pup will turn out a topliner. I can assure you that trying to buy a top grade dog once it has raced is not cheap and the money we can get for our racedogs once they have started is amazing.
If clients are prepared to take the risk, then buying a breaker is the way to go. As I have stated numerous times, RAVADA REASON (who was a 30 sec winner at Wpk and a Runner up in the Paws of Thunder) was sold for $5000 as a breaker. Prime Racing Synd was offered $80,000 for her after her first 2 Wpk wins so the opportunity is there as long as you are prepared to "take the punt".
JUST CAMPO was sold for $3,000 as a breaker....he has won at Richmond breaking the 31 secs twice already!
On the breeding front we have pups on the ground from some of our best bitches. Refer to the PUPS FOR SALE SECTION for enquiries. A lot of pups have been sold in the past fortnight so if you are interested in any, please contact me for availabilty and prices etc.
The pups on the ground include SPIRAL NIKITA x RAVADA REASON, KIOWA SWEET TREY x RYLEE REASON, BOND x RAKAIA REASON, FORTIFIED RUSH (Imp) x NIGHT PRINCESS, etc etc.
RAVADA REASON has just been served by champion US sire KIOWA SWEET TREY and are crossing our fingers she will be in pup. We already have litters by KIOWA to both RHAPSODY REASON and RYLEE REASON and are as good a type of pup you will ever see. Everyone who has seen them have been amazed at the tenacity, conformation and temperament of these pups and we cannot wait to see these hit the tracks.
My prediction was right about Spiral Nikita making an impact...well, I am tipping that Kiowa will do the same. Lets hope so anyway!
We have our next batch of breakins ready to start in the next few weeks and they are the HISTORY LESSON x PAY THE DANES and the SOLVE THE PUZZLE x NIGHT PRINCESS. They are magnificent lookers and will be sold as soon as they have finished education...obviously priced according to the ability at the time.
Well that's all for this month......got to get to the Horse Sales!

REASON NEWS - January 2007
|
||
Hi and welcome to the Reason Kennels NEWS UPDATE.
We trust that everyone had a great Christmas and we wish everyone the best for the New Year. As is usual with us this time of year, we have been pretty busy with bitches coming into season as well as the usual whelpings etc.
We have just whelped a gorgeous litter of 8 to the American sensation KIOWA SWEET TREY out of RHAPSODY REASON. We have a picture of these puppies on our RECENT WHELPINGS icon.
![]() Her first litter are absolutely flying and they include Jason Mackay's RUTLAND REASON who to date has won 3 from 5 including a brilliant last to first win at Richmond. He sure looks like becoming a very smart animal.
ATRAIN MERCEDES has also whelped to Victoria's Number 3 sire PRIMO UNO and if looks count these will be sure fire winners.
MISS AWESOME has also just whelped to brilliant speedster EXCEPTIONAL who is also the sire of the champ Closing Arguement.
We also have NIGHT PRINCESS and RYLEE REASON due to whelp this week........they have been served by FORTIFIED RUSH and KIOWA SWEET TREY.
Another bitch that we purchased is the very smart RIGHT WAY GLORIA who is by the champ BRETT LEE out of Wentworth Park record holder NO WAY GLORIA. She has become an outstanding matron and I have no doubt that RIGHT WAY GLORIA will become a huge asset for the kennels. She has been served today by the sensational WINSOME LESSON. John Finn claims that LESSON is the fastest greyhound he has ever put a lead on....high praise indeed.
PAY THE DANES has also been served by the outstanding American sire GABLE LARFOURCHE. Her first litter to SPIRAL NIKITA are outstanding.
But the most exciting news we have this month is the mating of one of our best bitches we have produced RAKAIA REASON (Spiral Nikita x Pay the Danes). This bitch is only 18mths of age but has come into season but I have had no hesitation in breeding from her even at this early stage. She can go back into work as soon as she has whelped this litter. The early trials of this bitch are amazing as evident by her last trial at Richmond running 22.63 on trial day without even seeing the track.
She is going to be top shelf......mark my words. She has gone to probably Brett Lee's fastest son in BOND and I really cannot wait to see what this litter will do. We have had a stack of enquiries about this litter and I urge anyone who is interested in them to let us know early....we already have an order for 3 of them in Australia and 1 to go to the UK.
Not going to be cheap but being a daughter of supersire SPIRAL NIKITA , anything could be possible with one of this litter. The SPIRAL NIKITA influence has already been seen in his first pups to race......there has probably never been an imported sire in history done as much as he has in such a short space of time.
I love them and the SPIRAL NIKITA x RAVADA REASON litter we have are outstanding types. The imported semen we now have available in this country is extraordinary and we can finally use the top shelf imports....for too long we have been using Z graders and we can all reap the benefits in years to come.
That's all for this month, take care and many winners.

REASON NEWS - December 2006
|
||
Hi and welcome to the December Reason News.
I sincerely apologise to everyone regarding the delay in getting the site updated but due to an extensive and extended trip overseas unfortunately it is late like a Sydney train.Once again my apologies!
Firstly, I would like to thank and welcome on board all of our new clients both here and overseas in the past couple of months. I really hope that everyone has success on the track with the stock that we have sold recently. The overseas market is booming and the amount of new owners we have picked up especially from the USA is sensational.
On the breeding front, we have just whelped litters by KIOWA SWEET TREY x RHAPSODY REASON and PRIMO UNO x ATRAIN MERCEDES.
Further details can be obtained in the RECENT WHELPINGS section of the website. We have also had NIGHT PRINCESS, MISS AWESOME, RYLEE REASON and PAY THE DANES all served in the past couple of weeks and we should know if they are in pup within the month.
To all of our clients with orders, we hopefully will be able to supply stock soon. We were lucky that in the last batch of 8 that trialled at Richmond ALL were sold. These pups will be racing shortly with a few of them venturing over to the UK to race when quarantine allows.
Our next group of youngsters are the Spiral Nikita x Pay the Danes, Big Daddy Cool x El Paso and the Climate Control x Miss Awesome's. They will trial shortly so please contact us regarding trialling and further information on them.
To end, I would really like to thank everyone for their support throughout the year.It really is a team effort....... we couldn't have had the year we had without you!
To all of our friends everywhere we wish you all a Merry Christmas and Best Wishes to everyone for the New Year. Lets hope that 2007 is as successful as the past year. Rob Tyler Reason Kennels

REASON NEWS - September 2006
|
||
Hi and welcome to the September edition of Reason News.
Had a great start to the month with one of Rod Price and Prime Racing's pups RUSHMORE REASON having his first start in a race last week on Canberra Cup weekend and destroyed his opposition in a brilliant 30.63 which is the fastest Maiden to ever race at the track. Sensational effort from a outstanding pup.
The $5000 as a break in is looking good now! In fact, in news just to hand is that RUSHMORE REASON has been sold for an undisclosed sum to high profile owners Alan and Henni Williams from the "Bigger than Life Australia Syndicate".
Great people and we really wish them continued success with Rushmore. It goes to show that if clients are prepared to take the risk with a break in, you can really get a top dog for average money. Once they race however, the price obviously is reflected on its racetrack performance.
There is another few of the litter that go well and will be racing in the next few weeks. Special thanks must also go to Greg Millwood who took this pup along after breaking in and did a great job. Greg has another few dogs for our clients and does a great job.
We have dogs trialling this week that are for sale (Just the Best x Ravada Reason, Token Prince x Rhapsody Reason, Bright Ebony x Night Princess)...ring for further details re trialling times etc.
On the breeding front, RAVADA REASON has just whelped a stunning litter of 6 to brilliant Irish stud SPIRAL NIKITA. She had 4 bitches in that litter and they will be priceless themselves when it comes to their turn in the breeding barn.
Four winners overseas this week (all from Bay Wave bitches) and goes to show what a great brood BAY WAVE has been.
New track record holder at Dapto and favourite for the Classic is FOOL TO CRY and yes, she is another girl from this outstanding line.
RHAPSODY REASON has just been implanted by champion USA sire KIOWA SWEET TREY. He is becoming one of the worlds leading sires and I am eagerly waiting for his first pups to race here in Australia.
Many winners and more news next month.

REASON NEWS - July 2006
|
||
Welcome to the July edition of Reason News.
We have been flat out in the last few weeks with some of the younger dogs coming into the kennels. At this stage we are probably 3 to 4 weeks away from trialling our next batch...the weather hasn't been kind to us and we are a little behind schedule with some of them.
To all of our clients awaiting details of trial, prices etc we will let you know as soon as we can.On the breeding front,we just had top class bitch RAVADA REASON (Solve the Puzzle x Bay Wave) served by champion Irish sire SPIRAL NIKITA.
The interest in these has been sensational so if you want one, you had better place an order quick smart. 5 orders have been taken already so if anyone is interested, let us know.
RAVADA's half sister RIVALEE REASON (by Token Prince x Bay Wave) has also been served by the outstanding Irsh sprinter MOBHI GAMBLE (a son of Spiral Nikita) and RYLEE REASON (Token Prince x Risque Reason ) has come into season this morning.
Rylee is without doubt the fastest greyhound we have ever produced through our kennels for sheer ability and I have no doubts she will be a great producer. The times this bitch was running as a "baby" were freakish.
She will be going to leading USA sire KIOWA SWEET TREY. Again,if interested get in touch quickly as we have already taken orders for pups out of this bitch both here in Australia and the USA.
That's all for this month....hope you all get plenty of winners! Rob Tyler

REASON NEWS - June 2006
|
||
Hi and welcome to the June edition of Reason News.
Absolutely been flat out in the past month or so with youngsters breaking in and selling a stack!
Thanks so much to everyone who has purchased from us in the past month or so....after seeing them trial at Richmond last week, I was most impressed by both the turnout we had as well as the times the "babies" were running.
Again,we had some overseas interest and it is most pleasing to see some of them will be venturing abroad to race. We at Reason Kennels don't care where the dogs race...as long as they are successful we are happy! If they open a track at Iceland and someone wants a dog we are only to happy to oblige!
The next lot through will be the Just the Best x Ravada Reason's and the Token Prince x Rhapsody Reason's. They will be ready to trial for prospective purchasers very soon.
As with all of our dogs, it is just a matter of calling and registering your interest.....the trials are mainly held at Richmond but we can make alternatives if these trials don't suit.
Please call first though and register your interest....these private trials are for selling purposes only.
That's all for this month.....I'm off to the States shortly...catch up soon!

REASON NEWS - March/April 2006
|
||
Welcome to the latest update to our website.
We have been flat out in the past month or so with a stack of pups breaking in to the track and a couple of litters on the ground. We will contact everyone who has enquired about our breakers as soon as they are ready to be trialled.
At this stage it will probably be at Richmond in the next few weeks. We will have the No Intent x Roxanne Reason, Bright Ebony x Night Princess and the Modern Assassin x Bee Jay's Wish litters.
Going great guns and I am sure everyone will be impressed. Come along and see for yourself. As with all of the dogs it is a "first in first served" scenario. They will be priced on the day and according to their lead up trials and what they do in that last trial.
If interested, please call and register your interest. These are private trials and strictly for anyone interested in buying one of our dogs. We have also just finished the Just the Best x Ravada Reason' and the Token Prince x Rhapsody Reason.
Trust me on these...they are the real McCoy! Gone out to the yards to have a break but if these go on with what they have broken in then we have some budding super dogs. On the breeding front, Pay the Danes has whelped a litter of 4 to History Lesson a couple of weeks ago and Night Princess has also whelped 5 to Solve the Puzzle .
If you require any information on breeding etc on any of our stock, just click on the appropriate icon on the home page and presto! Once again, thanks to all of our new owners both here in Australia and overseas and we are really looking forward to seeing some quality hit the tracks in the next 6 months.
Have a lovely Easter break and catch up soon.

REASON NEWS - January/February 2006
|

Hi and welcome to the Jan/Feb edition of REASON NEWS.
We trust that everyone in our industry had a Merry Christmas, Santa was kind and hope that 2006 is a big year for us all.
As with all Christmas? New Year periods here at Reason Kennels, we have been flat out with bitches on season and the newest batch of youngsters entering the kennels for the first time. It sure is an exciting part of our sport when after all the hard work of rearing and waiting for the "babies" to grow up, you finally see them on the track. I guess its's like sending your kids off to school for the first time!
Top class race bitch PAY THE DANES is up at Charmer Lodge at the moment and is due to be served this week. Another of our bitches, the very pacy NIGHT PRINCESS who is one of the best bred bitches in the country, is also away and will be served by the outstanding SOLVE THE PUZZLE. What a great sire he has been. We have had great success with STP stock including Paws of Thunder Runner up Ravada Reason as well as city winners in every litter we have had by him. These including Rhapsody, Radford, Radetzky, Romina etc.etc.
Without doubt one of the most underrated sires in Australia. As far as the breakers are concerned we have just brought the NO INTENT x ROXANNE REASON and
the BRIGHT EBONY - NIGHT PRINCESS litters in. Took 13 to the track and 13 went first go on the track! Absolutely rapt in them and are all as keen as mustard.
For our many clients, just a short note to let you know that the next batch will be ready in app.3 weeks, I will send everyone who has contacted us an email regarding trial times, prices etc as soon as we have them sorted out.
We would also like to extend our congratulations to Alan Greenway from the USA who has been lucky enough to have now purchased his 4th dog from us and so far the 3 that he has raced have all won city races for him. Al has just bought a lovely MODERN ASSASSIN x RISQUE REASON dog from us and I know that he feels that he will be the best of all of them so far. Running brilliant times for a youngster and we will keep everyone informed of his future. At this stage Alan has not decided where and who will end up training the dog but no matter where this dog goes he will fly.
We would also like to ask anyone who may be interested in joining part of the REASON KENNELS team and become trainers for us both in NSW and interstate.
We have plenty of young, well bred stock available shortly and quite a few of the clients will be looking for trainers. If interested you can email me at Reason Kennels or phone 0418673533 and I can inform you of some more details. Best Wishes and please feel free to contact us at anytime to discuss any of our stock.

REASON NEWS - October/November 2005
|
||
Once again, welcome to our updated Reason News for October/November. We are pretty busy at the moment with the usual run of "mums" either on season or whelping.
Had some great news during the week with the second of our "imported" sired litters whelping. Speed machine MISS AWESOME had her first litter to the Irish Derby Winner and Greyhound of the Year CLIMATE CONTROL.. Only got the 4 pups but as with all puppies...they are gorgeous!
With MA having two brothers at Stud as well as the ability she showed on the track I
can't see how these wont be able to gallop. Time will tell however!
The SPIRAL NIKITA x PAY THE DANES litter really look sensational so from the two imported sires we have used lately, we can't complain.
The MODERN ASSASSIN x RISQUE REASON'S are in the kennels now and are really nice .Their first couple of trials back after their spell indicate there are a couple right "out of the box".they will be ready for sale in approx. 4 to 6 weeks so I will get back to everyone interested. At this stage they will be trialled for clients at either Richmond or Gosford so register your interest and come along...I am sure it won't be a wasted trip.
Better mention that I will be heading overseas again next week to finalise a deal so won't be able to be contacted for a couple of weeks. However, send me an email or call the mobile and I will reply as soon as I can.
The overseas market is really becoming the principal source of quite a few of our dogs now so we will be waiting the results eagerly. Many winners and best of luck to all.

REASON NEWS -August 2005
|
||
Great to be back in Oz! It will take me about a month to recover, I can tell you! Great trip and have really come home with some great ideas. It is a pity that some of our "genius" administrators cannot learn "something" when they partake of their overseas "junkuts". Anyway,it was a fantastic experience and I would like to personally thank everyone who looked after me and took me to some fabulous racing and breeding setups ....I think we can all learn something from anywhere we go.
Plenty happening on the breeding and breaking in front with Risque Reason, Pay the Danes, Miss Awesome and El Paso all finding boyfriends. The details will appear on the RECENT MATINGS and PUPS section of the site. More updated news shortly.
RECENT MATINGS......Fab producer RISQUE REASON has just been served by the champ BRETT LEE.She has produced nothing but city dogs in every litter and cannot see why this won't happen again. MISS AWESOME has also been served to the Irish
Greyhound of the Year and Derby winner CLIMATE CONTROL.This mating could produce something exceptional and we have been waiting with anticipation for MA to
come into season for this mating. Lets hope that we get the result we are looking
for. I believe this bitch is really looking for a total outcross and in my opinion CLIMATE CONTROL is the way to go. We have used champion IRISH sire SPIRAL NIKITA with Pay the Danes and we couldn't be happier. It really is great news for us here in Australia that we can finally get to the overseas "superstars". For too long we have had to put up with "second string" sires from overseas so when the need arises here at Reason Kennels I won't have any hesitation in using them. There are some great imports now available at reasonable stud fees so I urge all breeders to consider them when their girls next come into season.

REASON NEWS -June 2005
|

Welcome to July's Reason News.
I am off abroad so I will just give some brief details as to what is going on at the moment.
Pay the Danes is due next week to super sire Spiral Nikita as well as El Paso who is heavy in pup to the champ Big Daddy Cool. Thanks to everyone who has enquired about these litters....lets hope that they both have plenty!![]() Bit early to tell with Rivalee yet but her'e's hoping!
The Solve the Puzzle x El Paso litter have just gone to
the breakers today so we will get a bit of an idea on them in about 1 month when I return. We've had some great interest from overseas clients in the past few
months and I would really like to thank them
![]() personally for "climbing on board" and hope that you are a success with our breed ...results are the key and we are proud of every one of our dogs no matter where they are racing.
The thrill of getting a call from the UK,USA etc to say that so and so has won or had pups is as exciting to us as having them on our own property. They are looked after so well that we thank you all and wish everyone continued success. That's all until I get back and see you all soon.

REASON NEWS - May 2005
|

What a great past couple of weeks we have had here at Reason Kennels.
The race dogs are on fire and we have 3 of the "girls" just been served. We have taken the plunge and put super sprinter PAY THE DANES to Irish wonder greyhound SPIRAL NIKITA. I feel that this bitch needs an outcross and I suppose if you are going to breed this way, the only way to do it is to use the best! SPIRAL NIKITA is a freakish sire and matched with Pay the Danes bloodlines there should be something special I feel.
SA Oaks winner and sub 30 Melbourne bitch EL PASO has been mated to "BIG DADDY COOL" and we have never had more interest in a litter before they were born than this lot! Only hope she has about 15! Her first litter to Token Prince have been sold and the new owners are absolutely rapt in them. Even 2KY Racing Radio's Freddy Hastings has jumped on board and purchased one. She is running around the 31 mark at Richmond and will be having her first start next week. Good luck Fred. RIVALEE REASON has gone to one of Australia's most under rated dogs in SOLVE THE PUZZLE. I am amazed that even after the quality chasers that this boy has thrown that he hasn't been better received. Another big win by Twisted Angel in the bitches classic on Saturday....if you can find a better value proven sire in Australia than STP let me know! RIVETTE REASON
![]() On the racing front, obviously the highlight was RIVETTE REASON winning NZ's biggest race the Duke of Norfolk Stakes.
Congratulations to John Roberts and the Craiks for a job well done and I believe the after party was harder than the actual 790 metres poor old Rivette had to run. That bitch was sent primarily for that race and to see her succeed in such a prestigious event like that is brilliant!
I will be over to pick mine up boys shortly! That has been a great litter with EVERY dog winning in the city as well as 3 group winners. Well done to each and every one of the connections. One of that litter ROKARA REASON has already whelped a litter for Michelle Sterling in Adelaide and lets hope that she can continue the great line.
I am off to the states and will see everyone when I return. Any enquiries regarding any of the dogs can be directed to the email address and I will endeavour to be in contact the moment I receive the mail.
Rug up and plenty of winners! Best Wishes Rob Tyler.............

![]() Our grand producer BAY WAVE whelped a litter of 6 to JUST THE BEST and have already been sold to the USA. We have great expectations for this litter and to Mr.Delmonte the new owner ...BEST OF LUCK with them. I am sure that they will be as good as any previous litter she has had.
![]() Her daughter RAVADA REASON (Solve the Puzzle x Bay Wave) who was runner up in the recent PAWS OF THUNDER has whelped a sensational litter of 9

REASON NEWS - 16th January 2005

Welcome to 2005, hope everyone had a great Christmas and New Year !!!
We have been flat out over the past few weeks with puppies and bitches served.
![]() As you may know from previous news “Roxanne Reason” has a beautiful litter of 8 puppies to “No Intent” which are now 6 weeks old.
![]() “Night Princess” whelped on New Years Day and has 5 gorgeous blacks to boom young sire “Bright Ebony”. This young sire is really starting to get some class acts and looks assured of becoming one of the better sires here in NSW.
Paws of Thunder runner-up “Ravada Reason” is in pup to champion sire “Just The Best” and the enquiries on this litter alone have been amazing. We thank everyone who has shown an interest in this litter and as we have stated before, it will depend on how many she has as to what price they will be. ![]() The same applies to her Mum, “Bay Wave” who is also due to whelp to “Just The Best” as well. It will depend entirely on the quantity of the litter.
“Risque Reason” was served last week by freak sire “Brett Lee” and these puppies will create huge interest as “Risque” has really thrown some extremely fast gallopers. “Rhapsody Reason” was also served last week by Australia's leading sire “Token Prince” and we await this litter with anticipation. As with any Reason Kennels stock, everything is for sale so it's just a matter of calling or sending an email to me and I will get back to you as soon as possible.
We would like to especially thank our new overseas clients for the interest shown in our dogs and we have picked up some great owners courtesy of the new website. The feedback in relation to the site is sensational and our thanks go to Di O'Donnell from Dinki Di Web Design for all her help.
We appreciate any feedback or advice in relation to our site or our breeding.

Welcome to the updated and latest news from Reason Kennels.
Ravada Reason
(Solve The Puzzle x Bay Wave) has just been retired after coming into season and will be going to champion sire Just The Best this week. Ravada (runner-up in the 2004 Paws Of Thunder at Wentworth Park as well as winning in 30.1 on numerous occasions) is a daughter of our great broodie “Bay Wave” and the progeny of Ravada will surely be well sought after.Roxanne Reason
![]() (Token Prince x Bay Wave) is heavy in pup to No Intent and is due to whelp next week. These pups will be full brothers and sisters in blood to Jaylo Blush and Fashion Thief etc. (Both sub 30secs. at Wentworth Park) so exciting times ahead.
![]() Night Princess
(Token Prince x Fantasy Fortune) is also in pup to sensational young sire Bright Ebony and she is due to whelp in the first week of the new year. This litter sister to outstanding chasers such as Addis Boy (at stud), Golden Ambrose, etc. is expected to make the grade as a mother. She was no slouch herself as evident by the times she was capable of running.
Bay Wave (Bonjase x Ultra Sleek)
is also due to whelp to champion sire
Just The Best early in the new year.
We would like to thank all of our clients who have just purchased from us since the new website has been up and running. Let's hope that the results are forthcoming and as well as having a stack of fun, you can all earn lots of money from their success. If reports we have received from new buyers is any indication, the results will no doubt follow.
Romina Reason has won her last 2 starts at Cannington coming from further back than “Walla Walla” and this litter sister to Ravada Reason and Radetzky Reason will be something to follow once she steps up in distance. Well done to Prime Racing and trainer Ross Honor.
We welcome any feedback or suggestions in relation to our greyhounds or website.
We wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a successful 2005.
More news early in the New Year.

What a week for Reason Kennels !!!
![]() Ravada Reason
Congratulations to the Prime Racing team and trainer Harry Hampson on RAVADA REASON running a great 2nd in the $100,000 to the winner NCA Brett Lee Paws of Thunder Final on Saturday night, after winning both heat and semi final in the past fortnight. It now takes her earnings to over $50,000 with more to come! It was a deserved change of luck for the Prime team after top stayer RIDLEY REASON was fastest qualifier for the WA National Distance Championship Final and unfortunately had to be scratched due to unforeseen circumstances.
Also an extraordinary result in New Zealand for John Roberts and trainer Ben Craik on winning the $40,000 NZ Shootout with RASMAH REASON, taking his earnings to over $70,000 in stakes. This came on top of his brilliant win in the Group 1 New Zealand Waterloo Cup!
Another recent purchase for John & Ben is the highly talented RHANI REASON who has had 2 starts since arriving in New Zealand and winning both races!
We are just in the process of bringing in our latest break-ins
(Token Prince x El Paso) & (Bright Ebony x Kiss Marc). These youngsters have broken in brilliantly and let's hope that these boys and girls go on to greater heights.
We have just had multiple city winning bitch ROXANNE REASON
(Token Prince x Bay Wave) served by the sensational young sire No Intent. These pups will be full brothers & sisters to both Jaylo Blush and Fashion Thief (both sub 30 Wentworth Park performers).
Top class city bitch, MISS AWESOME (Awesome Assassin x Bonnie Jane) has just come into season and will be served by Australia's leading super sire Token Prince. Miss Awesome was a brilliant speed machine winning over $40,000 in stakes from a short career. She is from a sensational litter which include Your Awesome (sub 30 Wentworth Park), Awesome Tourist (30.1 Wentworth Park), Classic Rock (WP) etc. Her dam Bonnie Jane has been a prolific producer and is also the dam of outstanding sprinter Bonnie Alison.
Super fast NIGHT PRINCESS (Token Prince x Fantasy Fortune) has also just come into season and will be visiting Rocky Ridge Stud and met up with the highly promising Bright Ebony. Princess is from one of the best litters seen in New South Wales recently which include the recently retired Addis Boy who has gone to stud at Steve & Maree Gyftos' Charmer Lodge. This litter also included multiple city winner Golden Ambrose etc.
Busy times ahead for REASON KENNELS!
